“Pay it Forward” - A simple premise, and something I’ve been trying to do throughout the year.

A simple idea, giving something to the people that give to the community every day. What can I give? Hopefully my time and skill as a photographer.

I’ve done this twice so far, once with the Preston Park firehall, and now with the people from St. Bartholomew’s Church. Both time’s the confusion coming from the people I wanted to photograph struck me as odd.

“Take my picture? What’s in it for you?” - the most common train of thought is what I received. But the answer? Nothing. Just the experience gained from talking to strangers and taking their portrait. I guess nobody does anything because it’s a nice thing to do anymore.

Well, the people who take care of St. Bart’s were kind enough to lend me some time. and I hope you’ll enjoy the results.
