Hurricane Ramirez Gets Ready For Work.
Lessons learned? Luchador masks are hot, sweaty and not the most comfortable things in the world. (but they still make fun props!)

Kick ass workshop the other day with Lou O’Bedlam.
Shooting in direct sunlight? No Flash? What the hell was I doing?
I was shooting the hell outta the lovely Ms. Reynolds here.
It was a good experience, I like to control my light, bend it to my will. But this was all about using one lens (50mm), and interacting with the model, working WITH them, not just shooting them.
Good times.
More Photo Love! The interview with “Cassette Lord” seems to have made it’s way to the Argus website. Thanks for the link back to the pictures.
Week 17 of the 52 Week Project
Just a quick on today, too much going on right now - Got a CD in the post today, an artist wanted to use one of my images for the cover. I’ve got to admit, it’s kind of cool holding a physical product in your hands with your image on it.
Meet Rosy - The second model we got to shoot at Garage Studios Studio Lighting taster session. Absolute star, who was up for a bit of fun. (Sorry for starting the whole “Hair-flicking” thing, my bad.. totally.)
When Adam asked if I’d be interested in writing a guest blog post about the “Studio Lighting” taster evening that Garage Studio’s hosted the other night, I wasn’t too sure what exactly I was going to write about. After all, I try to get my point across with imagery, words don’t usually come that quickly to me.
So, with a blank page staring at me, a beer & the parliamentary debate on in the background I set about trying to convey the evening to somebody who couldn’t make it.
You can see some of the images from the evening here.
Meet Kirk - Kirk was one of two models we got to shoot at Garage Studios the other night. Ace ink work & a patient fellow letting the rest of us fumble our way around studio lights & softboxes.

Well, the boys at Garage Studios held a Studio Lighting “Taster” session the other night.
Those of us who came got a super condensed version of the course they run there as well as the chance to play with three lighting setups: A white space, a black space, and the ring flash - This, obviously, is the setup for the black space.
I’ll try to post the rest in the next few days.
A great evening had by all

I went for a good 5 mile walk around Easter this year. It was the first clear day in a long time, this is some of what I saw.

Meet Adrian The Tailor from Agnews.
Adrian is the exceedingly pleasant fellow who sorted out some trousers for me the other week.
He was such a character that I had to take a picture of him. Frankly, it’s people like Adrian that make me glad I live in a city like Brighton.
