honestly… how much work went into this? Disturbingly good.

Getting in to places you shouldn’t be and taking pictures… Taryn Simon does a remarkable job of doing this and takes some great images in the process. It’s a shame the talk was quite short - I’d be interested in hearing more.

A Photo Essay - In large-format photographs, Edward Burtynsky follows the path of oil through modern society, from wellhead to pipeline to car engine — and then beyond to the projected peak-oil endgame. Far too short in my opinion, I could’ve watched it for much longer.
